Welcome to The Lodgge Podcast. Each episode we will be welcoming a different uniquely talented guest to talk about a variety of topics. Our goal is to showcase the immense knowledge, diversity, and skill that Ontario video game and interactive entertainment studios have to offer. Join us for a behind-the-scenes look at the industry, its members, and the projects they create.

Job Board

Looking to start a new adventure? The Lodgge Job Board will be showcasing available positions from around Ontario. We will be adding jobs throughout the week, so make sure to check in often. Each post includes a direct link to the official job posting, so you can apply in no time!

  • Ubisoft Toronto

    What you’ll bring:

    • A college diploma in 3D Modelling or equivalent (undergraduate degree an asset)
    • At least 1-3 years of experience in texturing, modelling, lighting, or other related experience
    • Knowledge of 2D art tools (e.g. Photoshop) and familiarity with 3D software (e.g. 3DS Max, ZBrush, or Maya) + game engines (e.g. Unity or Unreal)
    • A solid understanding of art fundamentals (lighting, composition, proportion, colour theory, etc.), physically based rendering, and game constraints
    • A highly creative, collaborative, and innovative spirit
    • Excellent observation, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
    • Motivation to reach out for feedback and adapt to it
    • Aesthetic sensitivity and a keen eye for even the subtlest of details!

    We know that skills and competencies show up in different forms and can be based on different experiences, that’s why we strongly encourage you to apply even though you may not have all the requirements listed above.

  • Drinkbox Studios
    • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
    • Experience with C++
    • Familiarity with core systems used by game engines such as scripting, UI, rendering, animation, physics, networking, and data pipelines
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Ability to work remotely and independently
    • A passion for video games
  • Torn Banner Studios
    • Requirements
      • 3+ years working in games as a VFX artist or other relevant experience;
      • Strong technical knowledge and artistic abilities working with realtime VFX in Unreal Engine
      • Knowledge of Physically Based Rendering and Linear workflows
      • Understanding of 3D animation, texturing, modeling, lighting and compositing
      • Ability to perform visual and analytical problem-solving
      • Strong artistic vision, sense of design and composition
      • Critical eye for depictive detail and observation are valued skills
  • Big Blue Bubble
    • College Diploma in Art or Animation.
    • 1 year of related experience creating animation and animation-related art assets on projects.
    • Expert level understanding of the Principles of Animation.
    • Well versed in Photoshop.
    • Ability to create seamless animation loops.
    • Experience working with approachable art and animation styles.
    • Experience with rigging and animating full-body humanoid characters would be an asset.
    • Adaptable/versatile art style and ability to maintain a consistent look across multiple projects.
