Here at The Lodgge, we want to ensure visibility for all newcomers to the industry and make transitioning positions at any level as seamless as possible. Here is another round of our bi-weekly career post round-up that includes a collection of job openings and game industry careers across our many fantastic Ontario studios that stood out to us this week! Senior 3D Animator – Behaviour Interactive

Founded in 1992, Behaviour Interactive is Canada’s largest independent game developer and publisher. We proudly boast more than 1,300 employees at our studios in Montreal, Toronto, Seattle, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands. In 2022, our most successful IP, the award-winning Dead by Daylight, surpassed 60 million players on all platforms.

As a Senior 3D Animator, you’ll work closely with the Animation Director and designer team to set the benchmark quality animation to guide and inspire the rest of team. Your work will cover a wide variety of character types within the gameplay space: humanoid characters, quadruped enemies, mechanized suits just to name a few.

Technical Designer (Scripting) – Electronic Arts

EA is one of the most iconic brands in entertainment with nearly 30 years of innovation, passion, and connection of millions of players across the globe to their favorite video games IP. We are assembling a team with the purpose of constructing a novel and immersive experience. This is your opportunity to join this new team to shape the future of interactive entertainment. Frostbite is EA’s proprietary game engine that comes equipped with tons of tools and technologies designed to build incredible games. Our in-house engine offers the unique ability to adapt to each game while working hand-in-hand to prioritize what to build.

As a Technical Designer, you will be a member of the Frostbite Content Team and report to the Technical Art Manager. You will directly contribute to and push the boundaries of the newest game scripting tools and workflows that Frostbite releases to game teams. You’ll help make our development process more creator-centric by serving as a link between engineers and game creators.

Intermediate Generalist Programmer – Snowed In Studios

As Ottawa’s largest game development studio, Snowed In Studios has been working with indies and AAA titles since 2009 on titles that include Starfield, Forza Motorsport, Madden, Forza Horizon 5, Dead by Daylight, Deus Ex, The Elder Scrolls and Fallout Franchises to name a few.

We are currently looking add experienced Generalist Game Programmers to our already amazing team. As a “Snowmie” programmer, you will use your awesome skills in C++ / C# to help our client studios to bring their games to realization.

Weapons Artist – Treyarch

Founded in 1996, Treyarch is a videogame studio whose purpose is to create awesome games for the world to enjoy. With this purpose in mind, we crafted the award-winning Call of Duty: Black Ops series and pioneered the fan favorite Zombies mode. At Treyarch, we empower the team to be individually driven to innovate on our games, processes, and culture. How we do things is just as important as what we do.

Treyarch’s Weapon Art team is on the hunt for a talented, dedicated, and passionate Weapon and Hard Surface Artist to join our team. A successful candidate is an Artist that absolutely LOVES weapons and has the talent and skill to match that love, while being a total team player. This is a critical role which focuses on one of the most important aspects of First Person Shooter games.
