Unity VFX Artist – Pushing Vertices

Pushing Vertices is looking for a contract Unity VFX Artist for RollerGirl. A key part of RollerGirl is rollerblading to curated MP3 tracks that set the mood and vibe of the gameplay. With this mechanic, the player changes the game world - mood, visuals, NPC interactions, and quest availability by changing the in-game music track. You will be working with our programmer to design our music mechanic and also refine lighting and shaders in the game to deliver an atmospheric experience.

Pushing Vertices is a small fully remote team based in Ontario, Canada. We are a team-oriented studio that values the input of all team members equally. We are working on our first title, RollerGirl.

  • Experience with lighting and shader creation
  • Experience with Unity 3D (URP)
  • Comfortable working around EDT time zone (UTC -4)
  • Nostalgia for the 2000s, iPod vibes, 2010s Tumblr
  • You will be fully remote but being based in Canada is a plus!
  • Experience with technical art and performance optimization.
