Here at The Lodgge, we want to ensure visibility for all newcomers to the industry and make transitioning positions at any level as seamless as possible. Here is another round of our bi-weekly career post round-up that includes a collection of job openings and game industry careers across our many fantastic Ontario studios that stood out to us this week! Unity Software Developer – AVARA Media

AVARA is developing immersive Augmented Reality (AR) technology that “experientially” connects people to the most pressing environmental and ecological issues our planet is facing. We’ve launched a comprehensive AR based game called AVARA Worlds and we are working with major brands to showcase their sustainability efforts through AR. We are currently hiring experienced Software Developers to join our team in downtown Toronto and work with us to build bleeding-edge technology that enables awesome AR experiences!

3D Artist – Magmic Inc.

Magmic is a web3-focused mobile gaming company that creates innovative, immersive, and engaging gaming experiences for its players. Our games are designed to leverage the latest blockchain technology and give players the ability to truly own their in-game assets.

The 3D Artist position reports to the CGO. Love of sports, especially baseball will be considered a plus.

Senior VFX Artist (Gaming) – Sinn Studio

Sinn Studio Inc. is leading the charge in VR combat games! Debut game, Swordsman, is a physics-based combat game where you can slash your way through medieval earth to become the ultimate Swordsman. Having won multiple awards like Game of the Year in 2022, Best Swordfighting Game in 2020 and more. Swordsman also boasts top best seller in Quest and PSVR/2 platforms.

Sinn Studio is looking for a Senior VFX Artist to join our team to build striking effects for our worlds to come alive! We are looking for someone with expertise in Unreal Engine (ie. and Niagara, shaders) to create realtime VFX content systems, and more seamless gameplay experiences.

Technical Animator [Splinter Cell] – Ubisoft Toronto

Ubisoft Toronto is one of the largest development studios within Ubisoft, employing talented people from around the world. We create worlds and tell stories that grip you, inspire you and challenge you. Since opening in 2010, we have shipped innovative game projects on some of Ubisoft’s biggest brands: Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, Watch Dogs, For Honor and Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell.

As a Technical Animator, you will be supporting while innovating animation systems and activities. Working closely with animators, riggers, designers and programmers, you will be handling mocap data, lip sync and facial animation systems, animation rigs, physics rigs, animation trees and dynamic objects.
