Massive Damage’s Fera: The Sundered Tribes Launches in Early Access on September 17!
Fera: The Sundered Tribes, developed by Toronto-based studio Massive Damage (Star Renegades, Halcyon 6), is set to launch in Early Access on Steam on September 17, 2024. The stunning aerial action RPG with city-building elements plunges players into a rich fictional world where they must lead a tribe and battle for survival against giant beasts. Drawing inspiration from games like Monster Hunter and the most recent mainline Zelda titles, Fera is an incredibly ambitious indie title from an experienced Ontario studio that is creating a lot of buzz.

Ontario-based game studios took center stage at Gamescom 2024, which took place August 21 to 25 in Cologne, Germany. Lofty Sky Games showed off Sky of Tides at the Indie Arena, while Red Meat Games introduced the innovative MoriAiRTy, featuring generative AI mechanics. Finish Line Games showcased Robots at Midnight, with a demo at the Indie Arena Booth. Massive Damage offered a sneak peek of Fera: The Sundered Tribes (launching in Early Access on September 17). Magmic explored mobile gaming innovation, and Torn Banner Studios unveiled a thrilling new trailer for No More Room in Hell 2, featuring 8-player co-op gameplay and a massive Power Plant map.
