Lofty Sky’s Sky of Tides: A New Era of Transmedia Storytelling
Indie publisher ESDigital Games and Toronto’s Lofty Sky Entertainment unveiled new details about Sky of Tides – a sci-fi RPG set in a fractured universe and its accompanying animated series – to VentureBeat. The game, which rewards players with an exclusive animated series for unlocking its true ending, represents a fresh approach to transmedia storytelling, blending gameplay with narrative-driven cinematic experiences.

Guardian of Realms: MR Combat Game from Swordsman VR’s Sinn Studio Launches This Month
Sinn Studio, the creators of Swordsman VR, are set to release their new mixed-reality (MR) combat game, Guardian of Realms, in late August on the Meta Quest 3. The game, which features intense battles against otherworldly foes, offers both a customizable Sandbox Mode and a challenging Survival Mode. Players can also look forward to mod support and unique combat abilities like gravity manipulation and chronokinesis.

End of an Era: Torn Banner’s Chivalry 2 Concludes
Torn Banner’s Chivalry 2 has officially concluded its content updates with the recent release of the Regicide Update, which brought the epic war between Argon II and Malric to a cinematic end. Since 2021, the game has expanded significantly, adding new maps, modes, weapons, and features, fulfilling its promise to create the ultimate medieval battlefield experience. While this marks the end of new content for Chivalry 2, the game’s online services will continue and the developers are now shifting focus to exciting new multiplayer projects within the Chivalry universe and beyond.
