Toronto’s Dark Slope has secured funding from the Canada Media Fund to produce The Deep—Beyond the Reef, a mixed-reality extension of the animated series The Deep!

Based on the graphic novel series of the same name, The Deep is an action-adventure animated series that follows a family of underwater adventurers residing on a submarine called the Arronax. The Deep—Beyond the Reef will feature highly immersive gameplay using hand-tracking and take players on a breathtaking underwater journey.
