Heads up XR enthusiasts! Apple has announced that the Vision Pro will launch in the United States on February 2nd, priced at US $3,499 (about CA $4,685). The XR headset is expected to launch late 2024 in the rest of the world, including Canada.

This is great news for Ontario’s burgeoning VR/AR game scene. Last year alone, several indies have made major strides in the space, with Mighty Yell making its first foray into the VR scene with A Knight in the Attic, and Cream Productions collaborating with Les Stroud to launch Survivorman VR, their second VR title. What’s more, Games by Stitch’s Broken Spectre and Sinn Studio’s Swordsman bagged several accolades in various categories, and continue to be nominated for more.
