On November 9th, come join the University of Toronto Mississauga for the official launch of their new Game Studies Minor.
After acquiring the Syd Bolton Collection, the Personal Computer Museum and the EP Media Archives, UTM was able to show its clear commitment to the preservation and study of video games and their industry. It recognized the place that this industry has taken in the Greater Toronto Area, and chose to create a Game Studies minor at the very heart of it!
The launch of this minor will be celebrated with a public forum in which many scholars and professionals of the industry, such as Christine H. Tran, Larry Switzky, Kadeem Dunn, Stephanie Fisher and Victor Lucas, will participate in a discussion on the importance of acquiring game collections for research purposes.
